ACT!
The skills learned through actor training can benefit everyone. Acting can help one overcome their inhibitions and build a strong sense of confidence whilst performing and that will carry over everyday life. Our acting courses focus on the discipline of acting which includes working on voice, creativity, Imagination and physicality. The ultimate aim is for our students to have the skill set to create believable true performances.
Students will be taught by professional actors from the United Kingdom who will share their industry experiences and knowledge. All CentreStage Students will be invited to take LAMDA Examinations twice a year but the exams are not compulsory.

ACTING CLASSES 7-10 Yrs
Our weekly 7-10yrs acting classes aim to help our students gain confidence, courage and creativity. Classes are taught in a safe, trusting and creative environment. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves and work together as a team. We work on improvisation, characterisation, monologues, play scripts of various genres, physicality and expression. It is our aim to allow students to explore the world of the theatre and have fun doing so!
ACTING CLASSES 11-13 Yrs+
Our weekly 11-13yrs acting classes focus on naturalistic acting, asking students to challenge their habits and to reflect on their work in order to create a variety of characters. We begin theory work and investigate difference styles of acting. Students are encouraged to take risks and constructive criticism in order to grow as an actor. Students learn to work as a company and individually. During our acting classes we touch upon devised drama, physical theatre, audition preparation and improvisation.
ACTING CLASSES 14 Yrs+
Our weekly senior acting classes will give our students the tools to transfer the page to the stage. It is integral for all students to know and understand that they are working together as a company of performers and a trusting and fluid creative environment is essential. Students will be challenged and encouraged to take risks and lose their inhibitions in order to grow as an actor. We look at the work of Stanislavski, Meisner, Strasberg, Brecht and more with the aim to learn which methods work for the individual. During our acting classes we touch upon devised drama, physical theatre, audition preparation and improvisation. This course allows us to equip our students with the tools and skills they need to take the next step of vocational training at a Drama School.
LAMDA Examinations
CentreStage Studios HK is an official accredited LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) Examination Centre. Our coaches are the only LAMDA LSDE Certified coaches in Hong Kong. The LAMDA syllabus is used as a tool to develop confidence in public speaking, communication skills and performance techniques. LAMDA is taught in many local and international schools across the world with over 80,000 candidates worldwide. LAMDA is an accredited awarding body of Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulator in England). Level 3 examinations are recognised and contribute towards the UCAS tariff system for UK University entrance, thus LAMDA proves very popular with many senior students in Hong Kong.
